To be quite honest, WatchOS 2 (the beta versions to this point) isn't all that different from WatchOS 1/1.01, in my opinion, in regard to the user interface.

Totally agree with you. I had WatchOS 2 on my Apple Watch and I generally forgot I was running it in the first place. The only times I remembered, is when I used a picture as a watch face or the time-lapse watch faces.

Just for kicks, I purchased the stainless steel 42 to see what the difference while at home. Let me say this. These watches are so over priced and add very little to my lifestyle. It is in my opinion, after several attempts to like the watch, that these watches are not ready for prime time.
They do look gorgeous!!' Just not worth the money for what they do.
I'll either get flamed or banned for this.

I agree, mine lasted 24hrs, not the worth the $$. If the 42mm Sport SG was half of what they cost i may of kept it.

For me personally, I think the watch adds so much to my life. I can't imagine not having it now. It makes me more active because it is reminding me to stand up and move. It gives me access to crucial notifications on my wrist without having to pull out my phone. As a teacher this is fantastic. I can use the stop watch to time my kids, and I can use it to count down how long students have to finish a task. When I am driving I can use it to change a song without having to mess with my phone, which to me is the best part of it all. I look at my phone about 75% less than I did prior to having the Apple Watch and this to me makes me more active in the life that I am living. I am not checking social media as much because I do not look at my phone and feel the constant pull of those applications.

It proving to be very useful in my business just after having it less than 24 hours.
I get many group business texts where a acknowledgement that is was received with just a "ok" or "got it". I get PDF sheet music attached in texts, flight info, set lists and I just tap a canned response on the watch.

I had my Pebble for a year now and it lasts me about a week between charges. It is waterproof ( for showering and low immersions) and even though it is only b&w, it's all I need. I just want it for getting my notifications on it. For that it works flawlessly. And I picked it up for $69 at BB. It can do more, but I don't have the desire. I don't like pulling out my 6 plus every time it vibrates so I just look at my wrist. Seems a lot better than the high cost of the Apple watch.

But to each his own, for me, I bang my arms on things a lot in the work I do, so I don't want to take the chance with an expensive watch, but the Pebble works great and hasn't let me down yet.

It's also called not having any disposable cash and trading one thing for another. Person probably uses payday loans and lives pay check to pay check - not that there is nothing wrong with that, but to "splurge at a bar" just ruined the post. haha..

I'll take that bet

 is not banking on sales numbers on the  watch so the price will only go down when the next generation is released

Yea. I'm sure Best Buy will discount much later, but Apple will not. They will just pull them off the shelves and let Best Buy distribute. Apple is not into clearance or discounted items. Best Buy has $100 MBAs and other machines while Apple still has at retail.

It's useful for me as well because of what I do. For people whose time is more valuable, the watch becomes more valuable.

PayDay Loans? Really? That's what you got out of everything I said? I think it's safe to say that if I lived "paycheck to paycheck" I wouldn't have gone out of my way and spent $450+ dollars for a watch and a band, only to turn around a few weeks later and sell it for less than what I paid. And I didn't think "splurging at a bar" was a crime of some sort. I mean, I would've splurged for my birthday with or without selling my Apple Watch, so what's your point? It sounds to me like you're a little sour. Next time don't worry about an OP's finances and worry about yours, and if you don't like a post, cruise on by it, no harm no foul.

I use it everyday. The fitness alerts and reminders are more convince in my hand that in the phone. In addition, in meetings it is less intrusive than the phone.

To each his own but I'm really enjoying the watch. Just had a text conversation via dictation with my GF and it was flawless. I was expecting it to be kind of hit or miss. I would feel goofy talking into the watch in public.
Confirmed a band rehearsal via dictation also while I was doing something else on my 6 Plus.
While I was typing this my GF texted that she was bringing dinner replied "great" via dictation.
I was expecting not to really use it that much at home but I went out earlier and never took it off.
The Apple Watch rocks.

I can understand the differences of opinions, but some posters seem to cast their opinions and desires on what they think other people should do. Money shouldn't enter this discussion if you are referring to what other people do, as you don't know their financial situation. For some people, $350 is magazine money while for others, it's a car payment. When you balance purchasing an Apple Watch against purchasing magazines, it's easy to pick an Apple Watch. Conversely, when you balance purchasing an Apple Watch against making your car payment this month, it's easy to forego the Apple Watch.

The OP did what made him happy at the time, then later decided that he would be happier if he changed course. It's his money and his right to choose what to do with it.

Has anyone used an android wear watch? I go back and forth from my nexus 6 and iphone 6 plus but since I've had the apple watch for the last two months I've only used my iPhone. The apple watch isn't perfect but it is night and day better than what android has to offer. I am in sales and service and the watch is so helpful with my work flow now I just can't imagine not having a smart watch. I haven't worn a watch in 10 years and now feel like I I'm lost if I leave the house without my watch. It is pricey but for me, worth every dime.

I get excited to think of the possibilities with what wearable and the apple watch could do in the future with health related issues and prevention and early detection.

I'm agreed that Apple into wearables is super exiting. Love my watch. So does my wife.

Wish we could let threads like this go quiet.
