Can anyone tell me what could be wrong after replacing the battery in an iPod Touch 4th Gen that would be causing the two screen corners nearest the home button to be bright all of the time - see attached photo? Otherwise, the iPod works fine.

Many thanks.

My first thought is you’ve not reconnected something properly or to the degree it was prior to you replacing the battery. With that being said, I would say retrace your steps.

Thank you. I have done as you advised twice but the problem remains. I am now wondering if I applied too much heat to soften the adhesive and have permanently damaged the LCD.
