AT&T outage widespread

I woke up to discover my iPhone is in SOS mode. After checking on Down Detector, it’s down in a lot place! so, I am posting here to see who else is affected .

Apparently the outage is affecting every carrier in the US.

I’ve been texting with some of my family, two of which are on Verizon. They both have service.

Perhaps it’s dependent on the state?

Imore is reporting that the outage is affecting the big three carriers.

Hard to,say… friends and family here in Ohio still have service on both Verizon and T-Mobile. A cousin in Maryland has Verizon service. I’ve also seen reports on X that this could be a Cyber Attack… time will tell.

From reporting, it impacts only AT&T. Thanks @Annie_M for confirming that it affects T911 (9-1-1 over SMS).

I was texting former coworkers, and they're on other carriers - namely T-Mobile in Atlanta, USA. And I'm not impacted by being in Canada, although I did lose 5G/5G SA service last night (I had 4G and full service is restored this morning).

Actually it’s reported to have impacted all three carriers in the US.

I’m on Verizon and haven’t experienced any outage issues but several friends of mine with AT&T have no service which is very frustrating for them.

The oddest thing is that my husband never last service. My service has Just been restored, and I’m hoping that it stays that way.
