The Caudabe Sheath was tempting but I ordered the Spigen black TPU case for less than 1/2 the price. Reviews supported my feeling that fit and protection should be good. The real need is easy to wash for work, and after returning some duds, I'm guessing Spigen will have good fit.

I'll put that $ saved towards something fun and I don't like things to stand out too much at my work sites.

I love that these provide scratch protection while adding 0 bulk.

My Spigen Liquid Air Armor arrived and I like it more than I expected to. The idea was an easy to clean, low cost, have some protection case for work. The similar cases I got from other brands I've had before didn't fit well on the new phone model. It seems like Spigen did their homework compared to some others.

I thought I'd dislike the pattern but the grip helps. Still, I did one drop I know would scar an Apple Leather or older Apple Silicone cases and it survived. FWIW, the iPhone 12 Apple Silicone cases seem tougher than past models. The Caudabe Sheath was tempting but the Spigen is less than 1/2 the price. I'm happy with the premium for aesthetics and feel Apple case plus this.

The pattern doesn't stand out so much in person. My older iPad's camera didn't do a good job in darker areas and the sunlight emphasizes that pattern.

It seems hard to beat Spigen for combining some quality with a low price. Our whole family's had their stuff over years, and we've bought their stuff at some scale at work.

Update: It might be a slightly harder or stiffer feeling TPU type case so needs the patterns but may be why it has good fit and no gaps compared to the similar cases I returned. I've been perfectly happy with Spigen, DTTO, Tozo and Ringke in the past but this got it right early on. It's only fair to say I got a message from DTTO to order a different case for 12 PM than the one I returned so I'm taking the to mean they fixed the bad case I returned.

FWIW, the Tozo screen protectors I got fit fine and they're thinner than some. I like the glass protectors < than .33 mm that many seem to be. With my XS Max those made the thin case lips be more protective.

I bought 2 cases from AliExpress, a clear case and clear case with blue sides. I love both cases better than my Peel and Spigen Liquid Crystal cases, because both of the cheaper AliExpress cases (which took a month to arrive) feel better in my hand, and both of them cover up the camera bump with only the lens showing. Both cases cost me under $10.

Mous case finally in today. Ordered from Best Buy so I would get the retail packaging instead of the Mous cardboard box. Took 14 days to receive from Best Buy  The case had a very slight banana boat bow (not fidget spinner status) out of the box. This case is much improved over last years version.
Getting the phone into the case is about equal to the crowbar Symmetry.
The fit, feel, finish and overall appeal of the case is top notch. The buttons finally work fantastic, sides are a little slippery and it still suffers with the symmetrical cutouts which drive me insane. The max version lays nice and flat on the table as the camera protection is decent. I'm really liking this case until the KFC greasy fingerprints start showing up on the back. Here are some pics:

My new favorite case (for the moment) has arrived. The UAG Civilian. Case fits the 12PM perfect and I love that it maintains the squared off design of the phone. The buttons work perfect, excellent grip, correct asymmetrical cutouts with no saggy bottom. Lays perfectly flat on the back and no fingerprint problems. The only con is that it is a heavy sucker at 55 grams. Last case of the year for me. :) Here are some pics:
