6s sold in China

Hello,

Someone I know got a 6s as a gift, but it is from China. It is not opened yet and I will be helping him set it up. Question is will the iOS be restricted because of the Chinese regulations? I know iOS has a region setting, can I change it from China to the country I live in and use it just as normal?

First off ALL iPhones are made in China! That being said I could not find any info about China imposing any restrictions on the device itself regarding those sold IN China. There WERE some articles about China cracking down on the exporting on Chinese iPhones, and on some bans of iPhone sales in China, or possible bans. BUT nothing about any software issues, such as the removal of Facetime that happens with some Arab iPhones for example.
