It seems like the supply on these has finally ballooned...picked up a cabled version today at the Apple store to use with my old FM Transmitter (works great by the way), and they had a ton of both varieties of adapters. I also noticed on my way in that Best Buy had some as well, and that the Apple website now lists them as shipping within the week. So if you've been looking, try again!
