i am unable to sign up. help!!

I get to the main screen, and when i tap the google icon to sign up, it says 'unable to authenticate. please try again.' i've been getting this message for a few weeks now. i've tried signing up while on wifi and while using data. what's going on? what am i doing wrong?

Try changing your password. But chances are you're banned if you've been trying for weeks.
