I have a 2012 non-retina 13" entry level. The only thing I've upgrade has been the RAM, to 8Gb.
Would it be silly of me to buy the 2015 rMBP?
The reason I want to get a new machine is that I don't think I am ready for the dongle life. So my logic is, if I buy the 2015 MBP now I can keep it for 4 years. And in 2020 there should be plenty of USB-C devices.
I do not live in the USA and do not have access to Refurb models. I will probably spend $2000 a MBP, the 13" model with 16Gb RAM and 512Gb SSD. Preferably I'd like to spend 2200 on a 15" model to at least get quad core.
Again, how silly is this?
There is very little wrong with my current machine. I would like a speed bump though. Mostly for recreational Photoshop (wacom illustrations) and Lightroom work.
