My friend is still running 4.1, on his jailbroken 3gs, with ipad baseband.
He needs to keep his unlock because of his work commitments.
He wants to update to 5.0.1 (I can provide him with a 5.0.1 FW file) and has cydia blobs stored on his phone and on cydia. But he doesn't have iOs 5.0 for some reason, He's not sure how to update himself as he's never done it before. There is a guy he works with who used to do it for him, but he's off on long term sick at the moment. He's also without phone now because it crashed when he was using an app (not sure which one) and he can't get his iPhone guy to look at it. I'd do it for him, if he asked.
But he needs to learn to do it himself, seeing I don't see him on a regular basis.
If anyone can provide a detailed guide, of which I can email him, then I would appreciate it, as would my friend.
