Can't buy apps in Cydia

Hi all... New here and looking for help. I have upgraded to 4.2.1 and used redsnow to tethered jailbreak. All is good in jailbreak land except buying apps in Cydia. Trying to buy Wifi Sync and when I tap purchase the screen goes black with the exception of the status bar and stays that way. Only way out is hitting the home button to close Cydia. Any help is appreciated!

Im getting an error 500 when trying to sign into gmail to purchase through cydia store. I sent an email to saurik. But i know he is a busy dude
