Why didn't text messages transfer after the iTunes restore?

text messages didn't transfer in iTunes restore

Have set up my new iPhone 6s from a backup though itunes. text messages and older emails didn't transfer. I need them! How can I get them now?

If your "older emails" are still on your email provider's servers then they will eventually sync to your iPhone, depending on the Mail settings on the device. As for your text messages, give it time to restore. Also, are you certain they were available when you created the backup?
