I'm an android person, but am considering jumping ship when the iPhone 7 comes out. I'm with verizon. On my note 4, there's an app called FoxFi that allows me to tether on my unlimited data without rooting (android jailbreak). I use tether mainly during power outages when my internet is down. If there's an app or process for this for iPhone without jailbreak?

    Thank you for the help!

As long as your service plan includes tethering as a feature, you don't need to jailbreak.

Nope. It depends on your carrier and plan. I'm with AT&T and tether all the time.

Check with Verizon to see if your plan offers it or if there is a fee. You do not need jailbreak to tether.
