how to transfer songs

How much memory would a couple hundred songs would take up on my phone?

iTunes... Sync. As far as space goes.., my 900 songs is just over 7gigs.

WOW! so its not really worth getting an Ipod you think? Here is the thing, I listen to music only when I hit the gym. I have a nano with roughly over 400 songs. The screen is totally cracked and needs to be replaced. If I can load some of the songs to my phone without eating a lot of space, that seems ideal. thoughts?

I took your advice, I currently have around 200 songs so far on my iPhone and it hasn't even took up 2gigs! thanks again for the advice!:yes:
