Music won't play

Please be patient with me...old lady with a new iphone 5s. My music appears on the My music tab but there is a red circle beside the songs and they don't play. When I click the circle it switches to download from the cloud and i do that and they still wont play.

Try connecting your device to iTunes instead then sync your music directly from your computer or mac to your iPhone. That will helo

I had a major music problem on my 5 last year.

Finally just had to restore and re-download everything.
