I have just upgraded to iPhone 5 on Orange in the UK but will be offered the chance to swap to a 4G plan on EE at the end of October at no extra cost. I live near Sheffield but understand that 4G may not work as far out as I live although i do work there. If so, will it simply revert to 3G? Any thoughts on whether the swap would be worth it.

Thanks

Its a balancing act on whether you want to surrender the package your on to what ee can offer.

Where i live let/4g from ee is supplied but their tariff costs are too costly.

It should just revert to 3G or lower where no 4G is available. The real question is cost. EE have said you can move at no cost but does this mean no fees but with a more expensive plan? The 4G plans have come under a lot of criticism over value for money
