Clearing out email cache???

Okay guys Im having a serious issue with my email. So now say for instance when I compose a email and I type in the letter S, it will give me suggestions of my contacts that begin with S but also (and here is the problem) every other email I have ever sent out in the past with the letter S. Now after doing extensive researching the only solutions I have found seem a bit overkill- Jailbreaking my phone and SSH(which isnt currently available for iPhone 4S) or wiping as a new device. Was this just a overlook from Apple? Or why did they exclude this? Anyone have any other work around for this. Thanks guys

I hate this feature. It's great when you have emailed someone that's not in your contacts but stinks when you mistyped an email. When I had an iPhone 4 that was jailbroken, I did the SSH thing and modified the sqlitedb that is addressbook.
