Neeed some advice

So i have the iphone 3g and eligible for an upgrade, i would like to upgrade to the iphone 4 but we are moving to Guam in July. I'm wondering if i should upgrade before i leave and then try and unlock it or whatever (an att guy told me i could get it done cheap) also is there a way to unlock it without risk of messing it up? Or should i just wait till it releases there and pay full price. Anyone have any thoughts on what i should do?

There should be an unlock available for the official iOS4 not to long after the release. They've already JB/unlocked the iOS4 GM.
