downloading/viewing office documents

Does anyone know if there is a way to download an excel document from a webpage and view it in (any) excel-reading application on the iphone? I realize I could email the document to myself, and open it through the email application, but the point of this endeavor is to skip using a computer and be able to download and open the document all with just the iphone. Is this possible?

There's several "memorystick" applications which let's you download it to your iphone using a wifi network. My pc is still wired so this is not an option for me so I'm wondering if there's a different possible way aswell.
