Well, congrats for your new iPad. I had the 2 for almost two years, a great device! Now I am with the 3. To your question: what do you want to do with your iPad? I mean, apps depends on the usage and your personal interests. So, give a hint about yours and maybe suggestions will be given by myself or others in the forum! Enjoy your iPad! You will love it.
