After watching Sound of Freedom I feel the need for my youngest to be able to have a way to communicate with me when we aren’t together. I’m not ready for a phone but I could get with a watch. My 76 yo Mama who just got one, reminded me I can change the face to analog. I prefer it for practice in telling time. She doesn’t need the latest and greatest and all the bells and whistles. I gave my son my 3 refurb (which is now broken and replaced) but I’m thinking it’s gonna age out pretty soon. The 5? I replaced my sons with a SE. is that still pretty up to date for a while? I want to add cellular. TIA!

That’s what I got to replace my refurb 3 I handed town to my son that he broke. I stopped paying attention to the releases years ago with the dropping of carrier subsidies so I don’t know if SE was too old. I know it’s the budget one and I’m good with that! I got the SE iphone first Gen for my teenager for her bday one year.

I'd say it depends on your budget. I always go with the newest, so that it will last longer.

I wear the Watch SE 2nd generation. I really like it. It has most of what the others have. And it's affordable.
