Unlocking iPad from Three UK

I have an iPad that I wish to put a Vodafone data sim into, but it was bought from Orange ><

How would I go about this? From a quick search on the internet it doesn't look as easy as unlocking a Blackberry..

As far as I know, and unlike the iPhone, Apple does not lock the iPad to any carrier. If it’s a GSM device, you should just be able to put a SIM from any GSM carrier and be good to go.
