Agreed!I believe there are still States in America where it’s not forbidden to use your phone behind the wheels. People from those states will indeed be furious if Apple forces this option.

So is there a permanent opt out of DNDWD or not?
Thanks!I have not been able to test DNDWD at all.
I hope someone with more information will soon reply in this thread.
Frankly I think this is the best feature coming to the iPhone. I love my phone, but driving is the wrong time to reply to messages. I would even be in favor of more restrictions while driving to discourage phone use in the car.
So will this work if I drive an older model car that does not have bluetooth capability?
That also entails not texting or driving while waiting at a traffic light or in traffic with no movement, on a long straight road with few to none cars around you without any intersection coming soon.
I can in fact permanently disable this DNDWD feature.
As I understood it from the keynote, it only works if you have carplay in you're car...

I have BT in my car and no apple car play, iphone (IOS 11 beta 1) is connected with BT in my car and the DNDWD feature is not working.
Firstly, nice feature name there, Apple!
This is so useful!
