MobileMe to iCloud

I've tried to put iCloud on my phone and macbook but am being told that I can't transfer my MobileMe account at this time.

Does anyone know when we will be allowed to do this?

I myself expect Apple to allow MobileMe to be transfered to iCloud when iOS 5 is released or maybe even after. iOS5 is going to cost a LOT of servers to crash at Apple, and I wouldn't be surprised if it took them a day or two to get everything out fully.

I did it successfully earlier today. You need to have OSX-Lion and iOS5 to do it... if you have yet to install iOS5 - that's the hitch in your git along.

I have OSX-Lion but not iOS5. I tried to download it earlier but iTunes said that it was not available. Did you the GM?

Yeah, I did the iOS5-GM shortly after it dropped.
