In what folder do you delete that email from?
I mostly delete emails from the Notification Center.

I delete them from the inbox. But I don’t like when it moves on and opens the next message.

That’s by design, to allow for continuous reading of your inbox.

There are multiple ways to delete emails, and also multiple ways to read them.
If you want to stay in the inbox, you should 3D Touch an email to read it and then swipe left to delete it.
