I loaded iOS 11 a few hours ago and the Bluetooth icon is showing next to my battery, even though I have nothing connected via Bluetooth. Is that normal or a bug? I thought the Bluetooth icon only appeared when connected to a device.

Thanks!

Check to see if it’s turned on in Settings or via the Control Center.

It works differently in iOS 11, noticed it earlier during beta. It only turns off connected devices and for someone reason when using it in the control center, it comes right back on. The only way I get it to work is A) Tell Siri (Turn off Bluetooth) or B) Go into Settings / Bluetooth and turn it off.

Maybe due to continuity features? Don’t those require BT as well?

I do notice it seems like it’s actively connected on my phone even though my BT headphones have been turned off since a day ago.
