Question from my friend ( btw i dont have ipad)

Is it possible to actually download a real file into iCloud Drive (eg. a DMG, or MP4, or whatever) from Safari on iPad?

I realise it probably won't be usable on the iPad (if it was a DMG etc.) but at least I could then open it on my Mac.

I’m not sure if this is the answer you’re looking for, but iCloud Drive is baked into the Files app. So you can save an item to iCloud Drive like normal on iPhone or iPad, and it will upload to be available on the rest of the devices. You can see iCloud inside the Files app, and you can drag files right into iCloud. Hope that answers the question.

Yes. Simply choose the share option and then select “Add to iCloud Drive”.
