ICloud and Outlook

So I have had my IP5 for a few months now and set up ICloud for back up. But when I set the Icloud control panel to sync with Outlook calander task etc. all my emails disappear from my inbox on my IP5. What is going on here....Thanks

I'm guessing you have the computer app set up as pop3. That will remove downloaded messages from the server

Yes Outlook is setup as a pop account. My email extension is netscape.net which I think now is AOL.com. I have this one and only email address for about 18 years. Is there a way to fix it or would it be better to get another email account. I don't have a Icloud email account either

iCloud is IMAP only. There's no POP option. Something else is going on.
