What is the purpose of this part??

A-yo! guys,

I repaired a proximity sensor on my iphone se.
After open the body, and i noticed, front camera is connect with iron(?) plate by sticker.
Actually, i cut this to 2 parts, plate part with front camera part.
I afraid about it doesn't work, but it's so good now.
So, I wonder about this part and searched it. But i failed.
Please teach me this part.
