restoring Mac before selling

I've followed your instructions up to and including step 4 part 6. However, when I click on the Macintosh HD icon and then click install, I get a pop up box asking me to enter Apple ID and password.
Why does this happen when Ive deleted all my data and I'm attempting to prepare the Mac for sale on to someone who may never had had a previous Apple ID and password?
How do I get around this so I can complete the final step in preparation for the new buyer?
