You need to leave it plugged in for a while until the battery charges up enough to power the phone back on. If it doesn’t turn on after 30 minutes to an hour though, you might need a new battery.

I would suggest making an appointment at an Apple Store. Sounds like your battery needs to be replaced.

They could help diagnose the problem, but I don’t believe they can replace the battery. I would also try using a different cable and charging brick, just in case the one you’ve using stopped working.

You can go to the store you got it from. They’ll most likely just take your phone, send it to their repair service. That will take up to 10 days (with any luck) before you have your phone back.

Your best bet is going directly to an Apple Store after making an appointment on their https://support.apple.com page

Are they still doing that? I thought it was over on Dec 31st. Did they add more time?

Hi Kim! If you’re in Columbus Ohio, there are two Apple Stores there- one in Easton and one in Polaris! Good luck and keep us posted!

I got a battery replaced in an iPhone 6 last week. I had gone in a week earlier and they said they had to order more batteries. They sent me an email a few days later stating my parts were in. Went in, they told me three hours, it was done in less than two. $29 plus tax.

I’d call them first and tell them what you want to do. They may have to order a battery. They will email you when it comes in.

Should one need it is $29 vs $79 really a factor? If you need a battery you need a battery.

Saving $50 probably means a lot to most iPhone users.

This is pretty much a no-brainer. Definitely take it to an Apple Store and get the battery replaced. That's what I would do in a heartbeat.

I’m not saying $50 is irrelevant but are people NOT going to get a battery replaced if they need to because it cost $80 vs $30?

Typical Apple. Any noticeable improvement in terms of performance?

They will. But not if they can get it for $29. Some may upgrade instead if it's $80.
