They will not put the blame on you. They may ask you to turn in the phone which you should do anyways. Is it fake or possibly a stolen phone? How do you know it is fake? There is probably nothing the police can do for you. They are usually so busy they do not have a lot of time to deal with this kind of thing. Wish I could have offered you better news.
