My touch id isn't even showing up to allow me to add another finger print

I only have 3 on there and when I tried to add another one the finger that usually shows up and show you your progress didn't appear like usual. I recently dropped my phone in the toulet so I took it appart and took out the battery and SIM card so that it could dry, after 2 days when i turned it back on my touch id isn't working but my home button is

That suggest that the cable that link the home button to the CPU is disconnected or broken. If it's disconnect, you can carefully reconnect that cable back and Touch ID will work again just fine. But if it's broken, there is nothing you can do to repair it, not even Apple other than changing the phone to another one altogether because that cable is a uniq link with serial number between the CPU and the home button.
