My iphone 5s wont let me add a fingerprint. How do I get it so I can add a fingerprint?

So, my iphone 5s has been updated to the highest possible update possible. The fingerprint was working a couple of days ago. It just stopped working two days ago. I deleted the finger print and tried to get a new one but it wont let me. All it keeps on doing is bypassing the touchID screen and it keeps on saying try it again. Wont even let me do my finger print. Please help?

Reboot or restore your device and then try again. One of the two should fix the problem.
