How do I get rid of the blue dot when app is updated?

Ok, there a blue dot that appear on right side of app icon whenever it got updated or install a new app. Possible to switch off this?

Thanks (not a deal breaker though still wish to know).

Opening the app makes the dot go away.

It's not a setting you can turn off. It only goes away when you open it.

On a related note if you run low on space left on your phone you can use the blue dots to recognize apps you have not used in a while. I've noticed apps i haven't used in months and delete them sometimes.
