Camera changes from portrait to lanscape?

Why does my camera change from portrait to landscape automatically when I take 2 consecutive pictures? I haven't adjusted any settings and this started on Christmas day?

Are you pointing the camera down and turned slightly? That would do it. I did it here and took a screen shot. The photo was landscape and the subject in the photo was sideways. You'll notice the yellow flash indicator is to the side, rather than just above the button at the bottom. It's all how you are holding the camera.

To adjust a photo that got in landscape by mistake,
Tap edit in the top right corner.


Then tap the crop icon


Then tap the rotate icon to the position you want.


Then tap Done.
