My iPad has been stuck restoring for 2 days. What can I do?

it is a brand new iPad. There is an update that can't load until the iCloud restoring is complete. How long does restoring take?

certainly not two days... push & hold both the power and home buttons until you see the Apple logo, or connect to iTunes message and give it another go on restoring.
