Should I be getting a warning that Developer can access anything I type?

Full Access to what is being typed..

Is it normal to get a warning that by giving full access to the keyboard the Developer can access everything that you are typing? That seems like a bad idea to give that much access.

How would you suggest that the developer makes the keyboard app do what keyboard apps do - format and facilitate the entry of text/thoughts without having that much access?
