Why am I not able to send messages to certain contacts?

Bbm messages not sending to one person

Hi,

I have the iPod touch 5th gen and whenever I try to send a message to a certain contact, it won't show the blue "d" for hours. But sometimes it does it instantly and for every other contact it's fine?

I was wondering whether it was an issue on my part or bbm's fault

I need some advice on how to solve it as I really need to talk to this person all the the time.

It almost seems like a connectivity issue. Are they in a good service area?
