Having Trouble with iBooks

Hi, I'm trying to download an iBook and whenever I try to it shows up in my library with an empty loading bar and then after about a minute, it disappears. The book is almost 2 gb so it's pretty big. It shows up fine on my Mac. I've already tried restarting the iPad both ways and deleting and re-installing iBooks. In the reviews on the iBooks Store I noticed that others are having problems downloading this particular book, it's called E.O. Wilson's Life on Earth Unit 1. The problem seemed to be just with unit 1.

I don't know what to tell you except to give it more time. Are you downloading the iBook via Wi-Fi? What iOS version are you running?

Yes, I'm downloading it over wifi and 7.1.2

Is this at your home's wifi? I would also contact the publisher and tell them of the problem with the book. It could be a problem on their end with a corrupt file.
