Unlocked iPhones compatibility on other networks

Hello, I have a Sprint iPhone 4s, Sprint iPhone 4 and a Verizon 4S. I considered having all of these unlocked and consolidating them to Virgin Mobile prepaid. Will this work with any or all? Also, would jailbreaking allow any or all to be compatible? Thank you!

I think that the Sprint ones would be able to work on Virgin Mobile because it's a Sprint brand

I kind of thought that too but I cannot find a straight answer. Ive found answers that talk about Virgin Mobile not using Sim Cards, therefore, they wont work. However, neither did the Verizon iPhone 4. It was not until Verizon released the 4s which had a Sim Card tray. Still not sure if the Sim was a necessary part for service. I wish there were a compatibility chart for phones, carriers, networks etc... If I am lucky enough to gather all the info, I would make one. I think it would be very useful for others with the same/similar questions as I have. Thanks in advance for any help!

The Sprint versions will work on Virgin but the Verizon version will not.
