For me, one of the values of a smart watch is being able to see my appointments at a glance.
I'm having some issues with my Watch and perhaps it's due to the unique setup I am saddled with. My company runs on Outlook via a secure Exchange Server that is behind a corporate firewall. The calendar app on my iPhone is kept up to date (as is the mail app) via an iPhone app called MobileIron which pulls info from our Exchange Server and pushes it out to the Mail and Calendar apps on my iPhone and my iPad.
The Calendar on my iPhone is always, without fail, in sync with my Outlook calendar. However the calendar on my watch is often out of sync with the calendar on my phone. Right now, for example, my phone calendar shows an appointment coming up in about 8 minutes. That appointment is totally missing from my watch. Yet the reminder that the appointment was going to be in 15 minutes did pop up on my watch.
If I go into Outlook and cancel or reschedule a meeting, those changes are immediately reflected on my phone but seldom get changed on my watch. What's most frustrating is that I can't seem to discern a pattern as to why some changes/additions get synced to the watch and some do not. I have found that if I shut the watch off and restart it that it syncs with the phone and then has the correct information.
Mirror my iPhone is turned of for the Calendar function and Shared Calendar Changes is also on.
Is there any way to force it to sync periodically other than turning it off and back on?
