i want to buy an Ipad air... Should I get ust wifi or do I need a data plan through a cell phone carrier? I want to facetime my grandchildren. Lorri

If you have wifi at home and don't plan on using the ipad away from home then no need for a cellular model if you plan on using it everywhere then a cell model is the way to go
