How can I fix my volume if I have no sound and the volume bar has gone on the control pad and buttons don't work?

How can I fix my volume I have no sound volume bar gone on control pad and buttons don't work

Volume just went away I put phone in airplane mode and turned it off when I turned it back on I had volume for a few minutes and volume bar was back on control pad but keeps going away

Try resetting your device. Press & hold the power & home buttons at the same time until the Apple logo appears. This usually fixes these little issues.
