App Update Stuck, what is the cause?

App Update Stuck

Hi,

I have automatic app updates enabled and it seems to work with some apps, but then some get stuck on "Loading" or "Installing" and there?s nothing I can do to make them stop or delete them. I have tried everything but nothing seems to work except restarting the phone and searching for the app on the App Store but there?s got to be another solution because this happens very often. Does anyone know the cause?

App Update Stuck

That's been common lately. Apple tells me it's a wifi signal issue that causes it. Mine does it. Here's what I do. Go to Settings > General > Usage > Manage storage > scroll down to the App > Tap on the app> Tap delete. Then go to the screen and if it's still there, tap on the X to delete. Them go to the App Store and download it again, If desired.

Has happened to me, too. I will refresh the App Store cache by tapping the "Updates" button at the bottom right of the App Store 10 times until it reloads. If that doesn't work, then a reboot clears it but it's a pain.

Yeah, tap 10 times in the row and it will reload app store, don't do it too often thou.

Because there is no need to clean the cache all the time but if you want so do it.

I don't do it all the time. If things get stuck, then sure. Just like I don't swipe up to close apps unless they're causing an issue.

It's wifi or cellular signal issues. Happens to me a lot. Not so far on iOS 9.3 though.
