When talking with someone on Facetime, I can see them but they cannot see me.

Welcome to iMore! Are you able to see yourself if you open the Camera app and try to take a "selfie"? If not, it's probably a hardware issue with the FaceTime camera. Try hard resetting the iPad. To reset your device, hold both the power button and home button down until you see the Apple boot logo. If you're still experiencing issues you can always try restoring.
