Does every call I make and receive appear in order on the recent icons or is it random, or is it only every outgoing call, or incoming call?

Welcome to iMore! All you calls will be listed in order. That includes both incoming & outgoing calls. Missed calls will show in red. Calls answered or made by you will be in black. Calls you made will also have a telephone icon and arrow by them, indicating that you sent the call. Hope this info helps.
