Why won't iPhone 5C stay on after iOS 10.1.1 update?

I updated my white iPhone 5C to iOS 10.1.1. It worked fine for a few days then it suddenly and randomly shut off and would not turn back on unless it is plugged into charger or computer. It has that problem and now after being plugged in and on for 10 minutes it goes to a boot loop to the Apple icon and the phone won't go back to normal.

Put the device in recovery mode and restore it via the iTunes app on your computer. As for why you're having an issue, I do not know. With that in mind, it's possible that the update became corrupted during the installation. It happens on occasion, but a reinstall typical fixes the problem.
