Why is my phone automatically restarting itself?

my i phone 5s automatically restarted when i was using it. why did that happen????? plz help.

Hi there

From the text of your post, I gather this is a new issue that you have just experienced for the first time. Is that right?

If so, what changes have you made to the phone recently? If you have downloaded a new app, regardless of what it is, perhaps try to delete it and see if that helps. What were you doing when the restart occurred?

i was try to call some one... just before i was updating some apps ...i was doing 3 works simultaneously....did that cause any problem??? and i have lot of apps installed in my phone...i think the ram memory was totally consumed...

Welcome to iMore. Which iOS are you running? iOS 7 was known for this, but was later fix with updates.

I don't know why it is happening. It could be caused by a faulty setting, weak wireless signal, a rogue app, etcetera. You can try any of the following to try to fix the issue.

1. Go to Settings - General - Reset and then tap on "Reset All Settings".

2. Go to Settings - General - Reset and then tap on "Reset Network Settings".

3. Call your wireless provider to see if they can troubleshoot from their end.

4. As a LAST RESORT, restore your device and set it up as new.
