This is the only one I've gotten, but now I also have all the people in the group message replying complaining. So the spam message + about 10 people complaining.

Oh okay. Dang, I'm sorry that happened to you and your friends. Have you sent a message to the iMore admins? If you have a Twitter account, send the screenshot of the text to @imore.

I'd just really like to know why I'm getting spam texts that mention iMore in them.
Because the idiot spammer advertised where they harvested contact info... and now that it's known, perhaps one of the tech whizzes here can id an IP address block where the harvesters connect to iMore from, and route their future traffic to /dev/null forever.

We're absolutely looking into it, of course.

Unfortunately, like the TEST AND KEEP IPHONE 5 spam text messages, sometimes words are stuck in there just to make you think you can trust the source, when there's really no connection at all.

We're always working to improve obfuscation of everything we can, but please also be safe and never post anything you don't want made publicly available to a public board. That includes your Twitter handle, Facebook name, iMessage ID, etc.

And again, we'll block everything we can, as fast as we can, as fist-in-spammy-face as we can.

Didn't post my iMessage email or phone number on here. Just twitter. But it appears it isn't only iMore people.
