Once I have moved out of BT range then return they don't connect. In fact once I'm out of BT range and then return they are completely dead & are nothing more than ear decorations. Tapping, no response.
Taking them out & putting back in, no response.
The only thing I can do is to (like an animal) take out my phone open settings-Bluetooth & tap label I have them under. This can't be right, even my 2year old plantronics BT headset could reconnect
What am I doing wrong?

Welcome to iMore. Have you tried "forget device" and re-pair them buy using the button on the back of the case.

Something seems off to me, I've had no issue with mine reconnecting. I suppose one thought, if they won't reconnect, is to open the case. I'd suggest going to an Apple Store's Genius bar, if you live close to a store.

Well I've only had mine since Saturday, but first day at work using them. So far I haven't walked out of range of my office for them to drop connection. If if happens I'll report back.
